Consistently good experience

This was my third course with Pragmatic Institute, this time I took Product Marketing Certification. I've always found their training reliable. The content is consistently high quality, and the instructors are always top-notch. It's why I keep coming back. My first course was Foundations, then Build, and now this one. The consistency in their delivery and the relevance of the Pragmatic Framework to real-world product work is what makes them stand out. I appreciate that they update their materials to keep things current. It really helps to reinforce the learning when you see the same high standards across different programs.

Detailed review of Foundations course

I recently completed the Foundations course live online. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. I received confirmation emails promptly, including links to pre-course materials. The live-online platform worked well, no technical glitches during the sessions. The instructors were knowledgeable and engaged with questions. Post-course access to materials and the alumni community was easy to navigate. I found the content well-structured and relevant to product management. My only minor gripe was that some of the case studies felt a little dated, but the core concepts were solid. Overall, a good experience.

Pretty good, learned a lot

I took the Live Online Foundations course. It was pretty good, learned a lot of new stuff about product management. The instructor was clear, and it wasn't too boring, which is good for an online class. It went pretty fast. I liked that I could ask questions. No issues with signing up or anything like that. Would recommend if you want to learn product stuff.

Solid course, could improve support

I enrolled in the Data Science for Business Leaders course. The course content itself was excellent, very practical insights. Delivery was smooth, and the online platform was user-friendly. However, I had a question about accessing a specific resource after the course, and it took a couple of emails to get a clear answer from support. Not a huge deal, but response time could be quicker. Overall, I got a lot out of the course and felt it was a good investment in my professional development, but that one interaction with support wasn't as quick as I'd hoped.

Good value for my money

I was looking for a certification that wouldn't break the bank and saw their Foundations course. I used an alumni discount which helped a lot. The content felt comprehensive for the price I paid, definitely worth the investment for building my skills.

Thinking about signing up for Foundations. Anyone know if those alumni discounts work for it, or is it just for advanced stuff?

J Jared 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I used my alumni code for Foundations last year. Should be fine.

Pretty sure they apply to all courses, I know someone who used one for the Build course too. Just make sure you have the code from your previous training.

What's the difference between live online and on-demand? Is the on-demand just pre-recorded videos?

S Sam Osei 1 month ago
Live online is like a real classroom, but on Zoom, with an instructor and interaction. On-demand is indeed pre-recorded, so you do it at your own pace.

On-demand is good if you have a crazy schedule, but live online has the benefit of asking questions and group discussions, which I found really helpful for understanding the concepts better.

Does Pragmatic Institute ever do Black Friday sales or anything? I'm holding out for a public promo code.

G Gwen Vargas 1 month ago
Nah, don't hold your breath for public codes. They mostly do specific discounts like for groups or alumni, not general sales.

I've been on their mailing list for years and never seen a public promo code. They do have those corporate rates though if your company is sending a few people.

If I can't make my live online course, can I just switch to a different date without a huge hassle?

G Gwen 3 weeks ago
Yeah, you can reschedule. I had to do it once, just email them. It was pretty straightforward.

E Emma Vargas 2 weeks ago
They have a policy for that, I think you have to do it a certain number of days before the class starts to avoid a fee, but generally yes, you can move it.

I'm a government employee, any chance for a discount or something? Or is it just for non-profits?

P Priya Beaumont 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure I saw something about government discounts. You'd probably have to contact them directly or check their FAQs.

Yeah, they do. My friend got a discount for being a federal employee. You just need to ask when you register, I think they have a specific process for it.
